Staff

Jamie Powell is our senior pastor. In the spring of 2003 God led Jamie and a few others to found Morning Star Church in the greater Macedonia / Freehome community. Jamie has served on staff in five different ministries giving him a broad range of experiences in his sixteen years of ministry. Jamie is passionate about his family, his calling to serve north east Cherokee county, and teaching the Word of God in practical, yet inspiring ways.

 
Bruce Coleman is our Executive Pastor. His twenty seven years of ministry experience give him a broad, mature perspective on ministry. He has a heart for serving our community making his ministry both practical and purposeful. His love for people and social gatherings makes his ministry real, relevant, and a lot of fun! Bruce and his bride Dana have three teens: Timothy 19, Hannah 17, and Tyler 14.
